THE IDEOLOGY OF S.A.S.S.I

Specialist Advisors & Contributors

The architects of the think tank that became a powerhouse of strategic specialists in times of war — and the principles used to run it.

What began as a research unit at the University of Bradford's Disarmament Research Centre evolved into S.A.S.S.I — a sovereign think tank for South Asian strategic stability. It was founded on a single conviction: a nation's defense begins in the minds of its scholars, and the people a state turns to in times of war must be cultivated long before the war begins.

Over two decades, a small circle of strategists, diplomats and scientists transformed that circle into a powerhouse of strategic specialists. Their bios trace the ideology of the institution itself — rigorous scholarship fused with operational proximity to the Ministry of Defence, the armed forces, and the international disarmament forums where doctrine is contested.

The keys used to run it have never changed: intellectual sovereignty, evidence over expedience, and the discipline to advise without seeking power. The advisors and contributors below are the custodians of that ideology.
